What is Land Subsidence? - It is the gradually lowering of land which is the gradual shifting down of the land due to natural causes, minerals and oils, and other factors like over groundwater extraction and aquifer. This phenomena is commonly seen in different natural disaster also like after earthquake also due to some fault line or void below earth creates downward movements, also due to natural compaction like oils, minerals etc. , also due to over ground water extraction which reduces the level of water level: aquifer which when reduced forms a void and this results in lowering of land.
